Case Study: Alexandra Park School 3CX

The Client:

Alexandra Park School is a thriving and dynamic school which boasts excellent examination results and as of its most recent Ofsted report, an outstanding curriculum experience in both the main school and the sixth form. The school, which opened in 1999, is situated on a beautiful five-acre site adjacent to Durnsford Park within sight of Alexandra Palace.

The Challenge:

The school had a traditional telephony system with associated high monthly billing costs and were keen on transitioning to a comprehensive communications toolkit.
BT will be phasing out the ISDN and PSTN networks over the coming years. This was a key determining factor for Alexandra Park School who had accounted for this change in their roadmap and were ready to migrate from the legacy technology.

The End Result:

The school now benefit from regular monthly billing as calls to 01, 02 and 07 numbers are all included in the package – only international numbers are billed on top.

The inclusive communication features within 3CX, such as web conferencing and softphones, have saved the school the expense of needing to purchase additional licenses and have provided increased efficiency for all staff.

M-Tech provide unlimited remote support for the system during regular office hours, so the school always have someone on hand to advise them on any amends.

The IT team can rest assured in the knowledge they now have a unified, scalable communications infrastructure, one to which more advanced features and functionality can be added over time.
