From cabling to core.

Cross-vendor LAN, Wi-Fi, firewall and cabling — designed, built and run by a UK team with deep networking depth. Designed once, documented properly, run by people who do this for a living.

Introduction

Slow Wi-Fi in the corner office. Dropped VoIP at 3pm. A branch that's dark again on Monday morning. Most network problems trace back to a design somebody guessed at — not bad luck. The good news: the design is the bit you can actually fix.

The team designing your LAN is the same team that runs a UK ISP of our own. You don't pay for that kind of engineering depth for a branch refresh — but it's the reason it stays up afterwards.

We design networks. We build networks. We run them properly.

Networks

Cabling to core. Cross-vendor.

The same engineering bench covers everything from a Cat6A run to a complex SD-WAN. Designed once, documented properly, run by a team that does this for a living. Where the circuits themselves come from, see Connectivity & Carrier.

Wired — switch / route / firewall / cable

Switching

Access, distribution and core. Stacked, MLAG'd, EVPN'd — whatever your campus actually needs.

Routing

Branch, edge, MPLS, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF. Resilient routing without the cargo cult.

Firewalling & SASE

Next-gen firewalls, segmentation, ZTNA, secure web gateway. Designed once, run properly.

Structured cabling

Cat6A, OM4 fibre, containment, patching, certification. We design and we deliver — same team.

PtP / PtMP backhaul

Licensed and unlicensed wireless backhaul to reach sites that fibre won't, fast.

Carrier presentation

Multi-carrier termination, BGP, diverse paths. The actual circuits, transit and peering live on our Connectivity page.

Wireless — Wi-Fi to the back of the room

Enterprise Wi-Fi

Designed to spec, surveyed properly, tuned for the actual building. Not just another AP density chart.

Predictive & passive surveys

Heat maps before you buy kit, validation surveys after you install it. Fewer dead zones, happier users.

Captive portals & guest

Branded splash pages, voucher systems, BYOD onboarding. Easy for the user, locked down for the network.

High-density venues

Conference halls, lecture theatres, retail flagships. Where Wi-Fi has to scale to thousands of people.

IoT & guest segmentation

Separate VLANs, tighter ACLs, monitored. Your CCTV, BMS and tenant Wi-Fi don't share a broadcast domain.

What that depth actually buys you.

Designed once

Networks that don't need rebuilding in two years. Documented topology, signed-off configs, a runbook that survives the engineer who wrote it.

Right vendor for the job

We're not a one-vendor shop. The kit we recommend is the kit that fits — site, scale, operating model, budget — not the kit we've got SPIFs on.

Built to be supportable

Documented topology, signed-off configs, monitoring tuned to the actual estate. The Friday-afternoon outage isn't somebody's first read of the network — it's a runbook and a known escalation path.

How to engage

Pick the size of the conversation.

Most clients start with a posture review or a design pass and grow the relationship from there. Whether you're after a single-site refresh or a multi-branch rebuild, we'll quote on what you've actually got.

  1. Posture review

Two-week assessment of the existing estate — surveys, configs, topology — with the gaps named in plain English.

  2. Design pass

A documented network design, vendor-agnostic recommendations, BoM and a build plan you can take to procurement.

  3. Build & cut-over

Cabling, install, configuration, migration. Out-of-hours where it matters, runbook handed over at sign-off.

  4. Fully managed

We run the network as an extension of your team — monitoring, change control, capacity planning, on-call.

M-Tech provided a solution that far exceeded what we expected to achieve on our budget. Their highly knowledgeable engineers delivered a replacement wired and wireless network infrastructure, which greatly enhances teaching and learning possibilities across the campus. We now feel that we have a truly cutting-edge network, utilising Wi-Fi 6, which will see us good for many years to come.

FAQs

Questions we hear every week.

What's the difference between this page and Connectivity & Carrier?
This page covers the network inside your buildings — LAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, cabling, the kit your users actually touch. The circuits, transit, peering and the ASN (AS203582) we operate live on Connectivity & Carrier. Same engineering team behind both; different chapters.
Are you tied to a single vendor?
No. We work with Cisco, Juniper, HPE Aruba, Extreme, Palo Alto, Ruckus, Ubiquiti, MikroTik, Huawei, Fortinet and Siklu — and we'll recommend the kit that fits your site, scale and operating model, not the kit with the best margin.
Can you take over an existing network we already have?
Yes — and it's a lot of what we do. We start with a posture review and a documented handover, so you (and we) know exactly what's running before we change anything. We'll often keep the kit you've already paid for if it's the right kit.
How good are you at Wi-Fi, really?
Genuinely good. Predictive surveys before you buy, validation surveys after you install, design tuned to the actual building (not the floor plan), and a vendor choice that suits the workload — schools, retail, conference centres, high-rise residential, industrial sites. We do this every week.
Do you do the cabling too?
Yes. Cat6A copper, OM4/OS2 fibre, containment, patching, full certification testing. Same team that designs the network specifies and signs off the cabling — no “ask the cabling guys” gap.
What happens at 3am when something breaks?
On a managed contract, our 24/7 NOC handles it. Triage, isolate, fail-over, escalate. We're used to running networks where downtime has a cost — same discipline applies to the customer side. Wider operational service detail on Fully Managed Services.
