Solutions / Modern Workplace

Devices that arrive ready. People who get on with it.

The modern workplace done properly: zero-touch laptops, identities that work first time, Microsoft 365 set up the way it should have been on day one, Copilot rolled out without surprises. Boring on Monday morning is the brief.

Introduction

A laptop that takes a week to arrive ready. An account that isn't quite there on Monday morning. A mobile that won't sync. “Do I have a licence for that?” The best modern-workplace setups are the ones nobody notices — they just open the laptop and get on with the day.

The best IT is the IT nobody notices.

Modern Workplace

From sealed box to first prompt.

A new starter's laptop arrives, the box is opened, and they sign in. Twenty minutes later they're in Teams, mailbox loaded, OneDrive synced and answering their first Copilot prompt. That's what “modern workplace” should actually look like.

What we cover

Devices, pre-built, ready to work

Zero-touch deployment, Intune, lifecycle management, BYOD. Devices arrive sealed and already loaded — apps installed, policy applied, profile staged — so the user signs in and gets straight to work, not staring at a progress bar.

Identity, day-one

Entra ID provisioning, single sign-on, MFA that doesn't fight users, joiner / mover / leaver flows that actually fire on day one.

Microsoft 365 services

Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive — set up the way they should have been the first time, and tidied up if they weren't.

Copilot

Readiness assessment, governance, training, ROI you can point at. The productivity story without the data-leak headline.

Mobile & hybrid

Work from anywhere that actually works — corporate-owned, BYOD, conditional access without the friction.

Adoption & support

Training, comms, service desk. Making sure the £/seat you're paying actually changes how people work.

Productivity outcomes you can point at.

Day-one productive

Laptops that arrive ready. Accounts that work first time. Time-to-productive measured monthly, not assumed.

Copilot, properly

Readiness assessed, controls in place, training delivered. You get the productivity story without the data-leak headline.

Less ticket, more work

Devices that don't break. Identities that don't lock out. Tooling that gets out of the way of the actual job.

How to engage

Pick the size of the conversation.

Most clients start with a posture review and grow the relationship from there. Whether you're after a hardening pass or a fully managed workplace service, we'll quote on what you've actually got.

  1. Posture review

Two-week assessment of where the workplace estate is today, with the gaps named in plain English and a cost to close them.

  2. Workplace setup

Land the controls, devices and policies that move productivity now. Quoted up front, delivered quietly.

  3. Fully managed M365

We run the workplace as an extension of your team. Devices, identity, services, support — sized to fit.

  4. Copilot enablement

Readiness, data tidy-up, controls, training, rollout. Roll Copilot out without surprising the data-protection officer.

The transparency and clarity which they bring to all interactions is confidence inspiring and enormously reassuring. The strongest aspect of the service is our on-site support — M-Tech guided us through hiring a technician who is a perfect fit for our school, and is superbly supported by M-Tech's back-room team. Our move to M-Tech has been transformative in terms of user and teacher experience.

FAQs

Questions we hear every week.

Can you take over our existing Microsoft 365 tenant?
Yes — and it's most of what we do. We start with a posture review and a documented handover so you know exactly what's there, then bring it onto our baseline at a pace that suits your team.
How fast does a new starter actually get set up?
Faster than most expect, because we don't leave the setup work to the user's first morning. Devices are pre-built before they leave us — apps installed, policy applied, profile staged, the lot — using a tooling layer on top of Autopilot. The user opens the box, signs in, and is in Teams, mailbox loaded, OneDrive synced within minutes, not 90 minutes of staring at a progress bar. We measure time-to-productive monthly and report it back.
Do you do the user training too?
Yes — adoption is the bit most MSPs skip and we don't. Training, comms, drop-in clinics, role-specific Copilot walkthroughs. The £/seat only pays back if people actually use the tooling, so we make sure they do.
Can people use their own phones?
Yes — BYOD is supported via Intune mobile application management. We protect the corporate data on the device without managing the device itself, so personal apps and photos stay personal.
Is Copilot worth it for a business our size?
Sometimes — and we'll tell you honestly when it isn't. We start with a Copilot readiness assessment that looks at the data layer, the security posture and the use cases that actually move the needle for your team. If the maths doesn't add up yet, we'll say so.
What licences do we need?
Business Premium minimum for SMB customers, E3+ for enterprise. The lower-tier SKUs (Business Basic, Standard) don't ship with the security and management primitives we'd need to run them properly. The operational reasons for the SKU floor are spelled out on Fully Managed Services.
