The Cathedral School is one of the leading independent schools in Wales. Part of the Woodard Schools group, they provide the highest academic standards but set themselves apart by also offering an unrivalled caring and supportive environment, where every pupil is valued and encouraged to give of their very best.
The impressive all-through school has a long history, with some kind of school existing on the site in Llandaff since the 9th Century, carrying on through the Middle Ages. Following damage to the Cathedral during World War II, restoration work was carried out but ultimately left the original school building unusable. In 1957 Cathedral School joined the Woodard Corporation and a year later moved to the site they still occupy today. Several expansions later, they now offer the highest quality education to boys and girls, inspiring them to thrive both within and beyond the classroom.
