M-Tech were invited to be lead sponsors of the Eastbourne College run New 3Rs Workshop. As the day was about innovation in education and preparing young people for a rapidly changing world, M-Tech felt this a perfect fit and gladly accepted.
Impeccably organised by Oliver Marlow, Head of External Relations at Eastbourne College, the New 3Rs was very well received by the 28 Prep School Academic Deputy Heads from the South East and London. The group even managed to defy the Southern Rail strike with a minibus arranged to bring delegates from our nearest Southeastern station in Battle!
M-Tech positioned a stand in the foyer of the Eastbourne College’s impressive Birley Centre and were visited throughout the day by delegates interested in finding out more about our technology solutions. We also had a speaker slot in the middle of the day where we invited two guests along. First up was our Apple partner James Ridsdale from DataJAR who spoke to the group about using Apple in a school setting. James was followed by M-Tech client Sophie Post from Falkner House school who is a pioneer of Apple tech in the classroom, having even been featured by Apple for her work in bringing iPads to everyday learning. Falkner House are now a fully paperless school.
With a roster of excellent speakers through the day, delegates departed having a had some rounded discussions on being Radical, Reflective and Resilient in their schools, to best prepare their students for future challenges.
