M-Tech gladly accepted their invitation to the must-attend event of the year in Apple Management, Jamf Nation Roadshow, London on September 20th 2017.
The Jamf Nation Roadshow is a free, one-day event designed to help ease the burden of managing Apple devices. It provides users with the tools and resources to confidently tackle their biggest challenges through a variety of presentations, panel discussions, case studies and more. With plenty of Jamf’s on hand to talk to throughout the day, no questions need go unanswered.
As existing resellers, M-Tech joined the day for the opening keynote from Zach Halmstad, co-founder of Jamf. Zach had flown in last minute to expertly deliver his address whilst severely jet lagged! He spoke to a packed auditorium of 370 attendees about the latest from Jamf, the rise of Apple in the enterprise and the future.
The day then quickly moved on to show the audience a series of pre-recorded demos from the upcoming release of Jamf Pro 10.0. Improved design and user accessibility were high up on the list of changes.
Hosted at the British Museum, the venue was superb, with state of the art conference facilities and excellent refreshments made available throughout the day.
After a brief stop for lunch, the afternoon was filled with sessions from Jamf customers and employees. Geoff Lee, Learning & IT Services Manager, University of Edinburgh, delivered a case study as a hosted Jamf Pro user. The College put a great deal of time and effort into creating a custom solution to suit their specific usage needs. Nic Chetham, Systems Engineer EMEA, Jamf, gave us an informative half hour on whether or not DEP is replacing imaging. John Greenash, Education Services Manager EMEA, Jamf, took a deep dive into the technical and gave us an intro to the Jamf Pro API.
The day was rounded off with a panel discussion featuring both Jamf employees and customers. Opening the floor to questions, the panel shared their personal experiences and offered advice to the auditorium.
Huge thanks to Jamf for an informative and enjoyable day.
